SUCCESSFUL FAMILY PROGRAM
Program Description:
Successful Families is a program offered by Solutions For Life to improve the environment for all family members. The focus is on the needs of the family to be “successful”. The skills necessary to be successful are not easily learned, nor are they easy to apply consistently with understanding and with respect. The “Successful Families” program is a community-based program available to all families in Douglas and Glenrock. The focus is to keep families together and prevent out-of-home placement for children and adolescents. The program provides information and awareness for parents to help assist with everyday life skills. Because of the continued need to reach out to families in crisis, this program was developed to provide assistance to all agencies and families in need of support. Program Goals:
INTERACT with families and be available on a daily basis to provide them with the necessary skills needed to be successful.
PROVIDE in-home support to families in order to help solve problems that are interfering with their daily lives at home or with in the community.
MONITOR the family's progress and goals in correlation with the Department of Family Services, Probation and the Juvenile Court System.
ASSIST families to gain access to needed social, educational, and similar community services as a means of avoiding out-of-home or community placement for the child or adolescent.
COORDINATE transportation as needed for families.
ATTEND and interact with the family in a team meeting structure which includes the therapist, case manager, caseworker, client and parent or guardian to review progress which also includes attending court proceedings in relation to the family.
At Solutions For Life we believe in the family; the value, worth and dignity of the family. Each family is individual. We believe that each family does share at least one trait; each family desires to be successful.
