Commission on Accrediation of Rehabilitation Facilities

 

Admission Criteria:

Participants must have at least one mental health diagnosis on Axis I or Axis II for admission to the group.  Participants must be appropriate for a group setting (i.e.; must have been following Detention Center protocol).

Group Format:

Psycho-educational

 Group Goals:

1. Develop life skills to better cope with being incarcerated
2. Develop life skills to prevent re-incarceration after release

Discharge Criteria:

A Participant is discharged from the group:

·         When the participant is released from jail

·         When the goals have been met

·         When the participant refuses to attend

·         When detention center staff indicate that the participant is inappropriate for group
