Mental Health Staff Therapist

This position is concerned with providing mental health & substance abuse services to client’s; interviewing clients, assembling chart information including intake and state forms, developing treatment plans with client’s involvement, and cooperating with area service agencies.  The person in the position will be required to follow professional and Agency standards in regards to performance and ethics of a mental health & substance abuse clinician.

Education:  Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, other related field, and/or Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related field.  The Staff Therapist –Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse shall have Wyoming license for a minimum of two (2) years and shall have had four (4) years of professional experience in their discipline prior to beginning supervision.  Staff Therapist can be Provisional licensed, but need to be fully licensed within 2 years of employment. 

Special Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of theory-based therapeutic model; ability to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, goals and objectives; knowledge and skills in individual, family, group counseling; human relations skills. Completed past psychological testing or willingness to complete testing.  Organized individual with solid people skills. 

Required Licensing: Acquire and maintain licensure by the State of Wyoming.

Substance Abuse Coordinator
